Working Equitation Competition.

Working Equitation The working Equitation competition is divided into 3 phases which are designed to test horse and rider through a range of activities. It combines flatwork movements and obstacle tests, inviting horse and rider to deal with a number of obstacles similar to those encountered when riding and working in the fields. At international level a 4th phase is included in the competition-this comprises a cattle penning test. Overall, the competition aims to promote good horsemanship, and a level of submission and control of the horse. http://www.workingequitationuk.com

For those competing in the above dates please contact us as soon as possible if you need to book overnight stabling. We have a limited number of stables available.

Marcia Wakeman clinic.

Marcia has worked and trained at Turville Valley Stud for 10 1/2 years teaching many levels of people as well as trained many horses of different levels from breaking to Advanced level. She has been Freelance for the past 3 years with much success, with teaching people and their horses of many levels, also competing some of her clients horses, along with competing in Portugal at two of the biggest shows in the country with good success. Marcia also trains and competes in Working Equitation the European sport.

Tanya Larrigan clinic

Tanya represented GB in International Dressage starting at 18 years old when she was in the very first Junior (as it was then called) European Dressage Championships in Acchen on the GB team. This was followed by the senior teams for the World and European Championships and on two Olympic Squads, she has vast experience in all disciplines. As a trainer she is a BHS Reg Dressage Specialist, on the BD Pyramid Trainers Scheme, is a 3* international trainer.and is on the UKCC coaching ladder - last year she became a level 3 coach educator. As a rider and trainer she is multi talented - her training covers all areas of the horse world and she is a best selling author.
