Meadowbrook Stables began as Sam's dream of having her own yard and husband Ash was certainly up for the challenge and very soon the so called home DIY became more like civil engineering. In August 2005 the yard was opened and not long after in 2006 daughter Emily was born and then hot on her tail Head Girl, Sarah joined Meadowbrook as a valued addition to the family.

Meadowbrook did very much become a yard of training riders to the next level whether it be on the resident schoolmasters or their own horses or both. Teaching further understanding of the horse from correct timing, developing feel and balance enhancing safety, being subtle with your aids, developing ability to ride from the seat and legs, horse and rider psychology and especially building confidence. Which was learnt from both the ground and ridden.
Evolving further Meadowbrook expanded to provide training for visiting horses welcoming them to stay whilst advancing their education, which especially works out well for owners whilst away on holiday. This then led Sam to think about pursuing the idea further and so the idea of Horse Hotel was born.

We restrict the number of horses coming in for training at the same time to ensure they receive the full attention required. If horses are coming to stay with us on holiday or permananet livery then we are able to have additional horses. If you would like to find out available dates for a temporary stay for your horse please click on the calendar page.
In December 2010 the Schoolmaster Riding School was closed. Allowing Sam to continue her training in leatherwork, saddlery repairs, making products, travelling out as a Freelance Instructor plus studying to become an Equine Behaviour Consultant plus still taking in horses for training and training her own.
